What is a fashion classic?

A classic is a style that stays in fashion for a long time. For example a simple pullover sweater and tailored shirt are classics. Some other items that are classics are, blue jeans, polo shirts and  business suits.

colors and fabrics also become classics. Linen, crepe, velvet, seersucker, suede, and corduroy  rarely go out of fashion. Plaids, dots, stripes, and checks, are classic design patterns.
